GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE | |
2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. onion 1/2 pt. sour cream 2 cans French style green beans Slivered almonds 1/4 lb. Swiss cheese 1 c. or so corn flakes 2 tbsp. butter Melt butter, flour, salt, pepper and onion; stir in sour cream until boiling; then fold in green beans and almonds. Pour into greased casserole dish. Cover top with Swiss cheese. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and mix in crushed corn flakes; sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes uncovered. |
