SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lb. butternut squash
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
2 baking apples (or Delicious), cored and cut into 1/2 inch round slices

Cut squash in half, remove seeds and fibers, pare. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Stir together remaining ingredients, except apple slices. Arrange squash in slightly greased baking pan, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch. Top with apple slices. Sprinkle sugar mixture over top. Cover with foil. Bake 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees or until squash is tender.
