I made these cookies for the first time on December 14th. They are for my mother-in-law. I used 1/2 cup white chocolate chips and 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips. My family just loved them. They loved them so much I am baking another pan as I write this. A must try for every chocolate chip cookie lover.

Easy to prepare, great for a quick snack. Soft when still hot but do harden some when cool. Have made before and experimented with various chips, but do think I prefer the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

I've made these many times and always enjoy them. Usually I make half the recipe to limit sweets and come out with about 18 bars. Great snack and easy to make!

I love these bar cookies and usually use milk chocolate chips and vanilla flavoring. Adding a little more chocolate chips than what the recipe calls for gives the bars better flavor, although good with recipe amount also. I decided to keep using the milk chocolate chips but add cherry flavor instead, and they are delicious. Tastes a lot like chocolate covered cherries. If you like chocolate and cherries together you will love these!

Tasted great. Made a half batch. Thought a loaf pan would work, but no, that was a mistake. Ended up with nearly burned edges in order to completely cook the middle. Still really good, will use a different pan next time.

We just made this recipe and did what Dorothy, below, did; baked in a 8x8 inch baking dish @ 350°F for 50 minutes; it came out perfect, it separated from the baking dish (my wife says that is a good thing), light, tasty, great! I took a small bite after it came out of the oven and almost scorched my mouth -- but it was worth it.
