LOUISIANA COLE SLAW 
1 c. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. corn oil
1 lg. or 2 med. heads cabbage
2 carrots
1 lg. pepper
1 med. onion
1 1/2 c. sugar

In a pot, heat vinegar, celery seed, salt, and pepper to near boil. Stir in the corn oil. Add sugar. Continue to stir until the sugar melts.

Pour hot liquid over shredded cabbage, carrots, pepper and onion. Toss, cover and chill for 24 hours.
