OPEN FACED CUSTARD FRUIT PIE 
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. flour
2 1/2 lbs. sm. plums (prune plums) or nectarines or peaches with blueberries
1 unbaked pie crust

Place plums or other fruit, halved and pitted, face up at an angle in unbaked crust. Mix and pour remainder of ingredients and pour evenly over fruit. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

NOTE: This is an old country Missouri recipe.
