1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. flour

Boil until thick and add the butter. Cool and pour over finely shredded cabbage (not chopped). Season cabbage as desired.
