KRINGLES (SCANDINAVIAN GOODIES) 
2 cakes yeast
1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
7 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Scald milk and butter, cool to lukewarm, then add yeast mixture, sugar and salt. Mix well. Add well-beaten eggs. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough and knead. Put in warm place to rise.

When double in bulk, knead again. Let rise until very light. Take small pieces of dough and roll into long strips. Form them into figure eight. Let rise again and bake until brown. Dip at once in boiling water.
