GERMAN MEATBALLS | |
2 med. potatoes 1/2 med. onion 1 (1") square lemon peel 4 sprigs parsley 1 egg 1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. caraway seed 2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 2 beef bouillon cubes 2 c. hot water Chop potatoes; put onion, lemon peel, parsley and egg in blender, cover and chop; combine with potatoes, ground beef, seasonings and caraway seed. Form into 16 (1/2") balls; dip in flour and brown in butter. Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and add to meatballs. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings. |
