DEB'S TATER TOT AND ONION
CASSEROLE
 
1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen tater tots, thawed (your favorite)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. fresh sliced mushrooms (or 8 oz. can, drained)
1 pkg. frozen onion rings (your favorite)
1 (10 oz.) can mushroom soup
1 can milk (use empty soup can)
2 cups cheddar cheese, for sprinkling (optional)

Brown ground beef with sliced mushrooms. Transfer to an oblong baking dish. Pour entire bag of thawed tater tots over ground beef. Layer thawed onion rings on the tater tots.

Mix a can of mushroom soup with a can (or less depending on how much liquid you need) of milk in a saucepan, and heat till smooth. Pour over casserole. Layer cheddar cheese on top, if desired.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.

Tip: Check during baking to see if needs more liquid.
