GERMAN MEATBALLS | |
2 med. potatoes, cut into pieces 1/2 med. onion, cut up 1 (1 inch) square lemon peel 4 sprigs parsley 1 egg 1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. caraway seed 2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 2 beef bouillon cubes 2 c. hot water Put a few pieces of potato into blender and chop on low speed. Empty into cup. Repeat process until you have one cup. Put onion, lemon peel, parsley, and egg in blender and chop on high speed. Combine with potatoes, ground beef, seasonings and caraway seeds. Form into half inch balls. Dip in flour. Brown in butter. Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and add to meatballs. Cover, simmer for 30 minutes. |
