BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. beans
1 lb. cooked bacon
1 to 2 med. onions, quartered
1/4 c. molasses
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. relish
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt

Wash and soak beans overnight. Drain. Put beans in 6 to 8 quart pot. Add 8 cups boiling water and bring again to a boil. Add all the other ingredients. Turn heat down to low but keep heat high enough for beans to bubble. Cover and cook for about 2 1/2 hours, checking frequently to stir and add water a cup at a time as needed. Uncover when beans are tender and cook down to desired consistency. Serves 8 people. Delicious.
