CINNAMON APPLES 
1/4 c. Bisquick
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
5 c. pared sliced apples
Cinnamon and nutmeg
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
3/4 c. half and half
1/2 c. sugar

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 2 quart casserole.

Make sauce of 1/4 cup Bisquick, sugar, salt, vinegar and water. Cook over low heat, stirring until thick and clear. Take from heat; add vanilla and butter. Cool.

Place apples in pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg to taste. Approximately 1/2 teaspoon Bisquick mix, cream. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with sugar and more cinnamon. Pour sauce over all. Bake about 35 minutes. Serve plain or with ice cream or Cool Whip.
