DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE - NANA'S 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. cocoa
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 2 c. hot water
2 eggs

VARIATION:

Same except:

1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla

Use flour frosting or creamy frosting (below).

Mix sugar, oil and eggs, then add remaining ingredients. Use spoon to mix! (Baking soda must be dissolved in water). Bake at 350 degrees until done - 30 minutes or so.

Dumont Flour Frosting - 5 tablespoons flour, 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup Crisco, 1/2 cup butter: cook flour and milk until pasty. Cool. Add rest of ingredients and beat until fluffy.
