Turned out great, it's a wonderfull recipe! I found it was good with half the cheese, and I used 1/2 mayonaise and 1/2 three cheese ranch dressing. Too much mayo if you follow the recipe. I found 3/4 of a cup mayo tastes the best :)

We love this recipe. One of the other reviews says the recipe calls for too much Mayo. I think it seems like that at first but after the hot pasta sits in the refrigerator for a while with the mayo and everything else, the quantity of Mayo is perfect (and I'm not a fan of mayo). Dukes mayo is the best with this recipe (which can be found at Publix).

I used this the other day but I didn't use the pickles or onions, my husband does not like them, but he still loved it. I thought it had just the right amount of mayo. I used miracle whip instead. But it was still delicious. Loved it!

Since this meal was for children I did a bit of variation to the recipe. Adding chopped celery to the onion (chopped in an electric mini-blender very fine), shredded Italian 6-blend cheese with shredded cheddar cheese, and substituted 1/2 cup Duke's Sandwich Relish and 1/2 cup Miracle Whip to sweeten. I am able to serve this without the children seeing the extra veggies. They loved it and came back for a second helping!

Made as written, and it was delicious!

This is a vintage recipe and I have always loved it. My favorite to make.
