CHICKEN CREAM OF WHEAT DUMPLINGS 
1 (2 to 3) lb. frying chicken
2 stalks celery
1 med. onion
4 carrots
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 gallon water

Wash chicken. Place in a large pan. Add water. Prepare vegetables and cut up in pieces. Cook chicken with vegetables and seasonings. Cover pot and boil 20 minutes. Leave chicken in broth covered for 1 hour. Remove chicken and vegetables, boil broth again and drop cream of wheat dumplings in hot broth. Boil 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with chicken and vegetables.
