SALISBURY STEAKS 
3 c. milk
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. onion
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Flour
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Combine 1 cup milk with ingredients except flour and soup. Shape mixture into 8 patties, roll in flour. Brown in skillet in hot shortening, place in casserole dish. Mix 1 heaping tablespoon flour in skillet. Add 2 cups milk for gravy. Add soup. Heat, pour over patties. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.
