JANIE'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
3/4 - 1 lb. fresh lean ground round
3/4 lb. sweet Italian sausage
2 cloves minced garlic
2 sweet green peppers, diced
1 lg. onion, coarsely diced
2 (15 oz.) cans chopped stewed tomatoes
2 sm. cans tomato paste
2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dry basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. rosemary
2 tsp. cilantro
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated

Brown meat until pink is gone. Add peppers, onion and garlic, cook until tender. Add tomatoes, paste, salt and herbs. Cook for 30 minutes. Add mushrooms and cheese, cook 30 to 40 minutes longer, until mushrooms are tender. Serve over hot linguini or vermicelli cooked al dente and sprinkle with additional grated Parmesan cheese.
