CREEPING CRUST CHERRY COBBLER 
2 c. pitted sour cherries & juice
1 3/4 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. butter
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. milk

Cook the cherries and juice with 1 cup sugar until sugar melts. Add the butter (melted in 11x13 inch pan). Sift together remaining sugar and flour. Add the milk. Pour over the melted butter. Do not stir. Pour fruit over the batter and don't stir. Bake 30 minutes at 375°F. Use Oregon Red Tart Pie Cherries.

Instructions a little confusing to melt butter and pour dough on top. THEN POUR cherries and juice over dough but turned out too sweet, but sort of crunchy. Will try it again.
