NACHOS 
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage or ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
6 c. tortilla chips
1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe olives
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chili peppers, drained
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is brown. Drain. Stir in beans. Arrange half of the chips on each of 2 (12") oven proof platters. Layer half of the meat-bean mixture, olives, chili peppers, and cheese on each platter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with avocado dip, dairy sour cream and salsa, if desired. Makes 8 servings.

Microwave Directions: In 2 quart casserole, microwave meat, onion, and garlic, covered, on High (100% power) for 3 to 5 minutes, until no pink remains. Stir once. Drain well. Stir in beans. Assemble as above. Cook on High for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve as above.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
