SHEPHERD'S GARDEN PIE | |
1 c. chopped onions 3 tbsp. butter 1 lb. ground beef 1 green pepper, diced 1 c. celery, diced 1 c. carrot, diced 4 lg. firm tomatoes, diced 3/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. brown sugar Saute onions in butter. Add ground beef and brown. Add rest of ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes. Spoon into a 2-quart casserole and top with 3 cups seasoned mashed potatoes. Dot with 2 tablespoons butter and bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. |
