PLUM CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. salad oil 3 eggs 2 sm. jars baby food plums 2 c. sifted self-rising flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. vanilla Dash of salt Mix sugar and oil together. Add eggs, one at a time, and cream well. Add plums, flour, spices, salt and vanilla; mix well. Bake in a tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Glaze with 1 cup confectioners sugar and juice of 1 lemon. Spoon on cake while still hot. If lemon is large and juicy, use only 1/2 of the lemon. |
