SWEET 'N SOUR COLE SLAW | |
1 med. size cabbage 1/2 of a lg. Bermuda onion 1/4 c. sugar 3/8 c. salad oil 1/4 c. vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Shred 1 med. size cabbage. Slice 1/2 or large Bermuda onion paper thin. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over this and set aside. Bring all other ingredients to a boil. Take from stove and pour over cabbage. Let stand 4-6 hours or overnight in refrigerator, stirring occasionally. Serves 8. |
