BARBARA'S STEWING SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. beef
2 c. water
1 onion
1 can whole tomatoes
3 stalks celery
2 garlic cloves, chopped small
1 tsp. sugar
4 carrots, diced
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 lg. potatoes
1 can whole kernel corn
1 box frozen peas
1 box frozen string beans
2 tsp. parsley
1 can kidney beans

Add water to large pot. Add beef, tomatoes, onion, garlic and sugar. Boil for 10 minutes then cook on medium heat for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Add carrots and corn and other ingredients until vegetables are tender. Serves nicely with corn bread.
