1 (64 oz.) can V-8 juice
2 lg. bags of mixed vegetables
1 sm. pkg. stew meat, cut small
1 sm. head cabbage, cut sm. (optional)

Put all ingredients in a large Dutch oven. Cook for 1 hour for soup. Cook 3 hours for stew.
