Tuna Frito Pie

I have never seen this recipe anywhere else. My husband's mom used to make it for him when he was a kid. He is the one who told me the recipe - only his mom layered the Fritos, then mushroom soup, then tuna, repeating each until they were used up and she didn't use cheese.

I am giving this 5 stars for my husband, since he absolutely loves it. Makes me wonder if you and he are related. :)

The cooks in my Jr. High cafeteria use to make a dish similar to this but it included some celery and a little bit of onion. Loved it!

In the 1960s my mother used to make this on the stove top. Everything in a pan except the cheese. Heat till hot and fritos are soft. Top with grated cheese and serve. A quick go to meal!
