HARVARD BEETS 
1 can diced beets
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 to 1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter

Mix liquid from beets with sugar, cornstarch, salt, add vinegar. Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, add butter, pour over beets. Keep warm until ready to serve.
