IRMO FRIED OKRAS 
2 c. fresh okras, 1/4 inch cut
4 slices bacon
1 c. long grain rice
1 c. water
Salt and pepper

Fry okra rings with bacon until tender and juices absorbed. Add rice, water, salt, and pepper.

Mix and put in top of steamer. Add water to bottom of steamer, cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.

Reduce heat and cook about 1 hour until mixture is fluffy and dry. Serve with ham or pork roast. Serves 4.
