7 LAYER JELLO | |
4 reg. size pkgs. Jello, boiling water and ice water 2 c. milk 1 c. granulated sugar 2 pkgs. unflavored gelatin, dissolved in 1/2 c. cold water (use coffee cup or sm. bowl) 1 pt. sour cream 2 tsp. vanilla Use 9 x 13 inch pan (3 quart glass or 4 quart glass - comes to top of 3 quart, more pieces from 4 quart dish). Use 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup ice water to make each package of Jello. First layer is Jello, next is sour cream mixture, etc. Top layer is Jello. Make sure each layer is firm before adding the next one (approximately 45 minutes). Bring milk and sugar to boil in large saucepan. Add some of milk mixture to unflavored gelatin which is mixed with water. Add to total milk mixture; cool 5 minutes. Add sour cream and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Use about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of sour cream mixture for each layer. |
