Clean leaf lettuce and tear into edible parts. Fry 6 to 8 slices of bacon. Save the grease. Right before it is time to eat, heat the grease and add 1 tablespoon flour and mix. Once this mixture is no longer lumpy add 1/3 cup of vinegar filled with sugar to make 1/2 cup. Boil until mixture is clear. You may have to add a little water to thin and add salt and pepper to taste. You cut up the bacon and two hard-boiled eggs if desired into lettuce; then pour liquid over to wilt the lettuce. Serves 6 people.
