BEER CHEESE SOUP | |
1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1/4 c. butter 3 slices bacon fried and chopped 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 sm. jar pimentos 1/2 c. flour 5 c. milk 1 lb. Cheez Whiz or 16 oz. Velveeta 1 c. cold beer Saute the green pepper and onions in the butter. Take peppers and onions out of the butter. Add some of the bacon fat to the butter. Mix with the flour. Then slowly add the milk and cheese. Add peppers, onions, fried bacon and pimentos. Cook until it thickens, then add 1 cup cold beer. Reheat soup but do not boil. Serve hot, can be frozen and reheated. |
