CHEESE AND BEER SOUP 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 c. cream
16 oz. processed cheese spread, such as Cheez Whiz
6 oz. beer
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. chives, minced

In heavy pan melt butter and mix with flour until completely blended. Heat over low flame for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, to ensure not to burn. Add chicken broth and cream gradually, stirring constantly. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add beer, Worcestershire sauce and chives. Simmer about 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve piping hot. Top with popcorn, if desired.
