TOLL HOUSE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE
PIE
 
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup finely packed brown sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle's Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 1 cup)
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Note: If using frozen pie shell, use only deep dish style and thaw completely. Place on cookie sheet; bake 10 minutes longer.

Preheat oven to 325°F.

In large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Add flour and sugars. Beat until well blended, and blend in melted butter. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into pie shell.

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Makes 1 pie.

I have not had this dessert since I was young. A good friend of the family owned a restaurant that used to serve me a piece after every meal. Safe to say it was delightful and seemed to excite tastebuds that I did not even know existed. Unfortunately, he eventually closed the restaurant and I have not seen it on a dessert menu since. Now, about 12 years later I had the urge to bake it for my girlfriend and I stumbled upon this recipe. Man, did I miss it! The recipe is perfect, although I am assuming it was my oven that forced me to add 10 minutes for better consistency. Try experimenting with different types of nuts. Thanks for the recipe!

This actually tasted pretty good but then you realize all you're eating is sugar and butter with chocolate. Its a weird texture for me too, I prob wouldn't make it again.

This pie is the best pie ever! My family and I love it. We don't add nuts and replace it with a cup of heath chips and it's amazing. I definitely recommend it.
