KAHLUA CLASSICS 
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. kahlua or other coffee flavored liqueur
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. instant coffee granules
2 eggs
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
Kahlua frosting

Combine raisins and kahlua in a small bowl; let stand 15 minutes. Combine butter and chocolate in a saucepan; place over low heat until melted. Cool slightly; stir in sugar and vanilla; set aside.

Combine dry ingredients; blend in chocolate mixture. Add eggs, beating well. Stir in raisin - kahlua mixture; blend well.

Spread dough in a greased 8 inch square baking dish; sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool slightly; then spread with kahlua frosting. Cut into 2 inch squares. Serve warm or cold. Yield 16 (2 inch) squares.

KAHLUA FROSTING:

1 1/3 c. powdered sugar
Dash of salt
About 2 tsp. warm water
1 tsp. evaporated milk
1/4 c. kahlua or other coffee-flavored liqueur

Combine all ingredients, blending until smooth.
