2 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/4 c. butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 5 eggs 3 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. evaporated milk Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 12 cup tube pan with Pam. Beat sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs in bowl on low speed (30 seconds). Scrape bowl constantly. Beat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 5 minutes. Beat in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk on low speed. Blend well. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 70 to 80 minutes. Cool 20 minutes; remove from pan. When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
