SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
6 eggs
2 sticks butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat well each time. Add sour cream to butter, sugar and eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt - sifted 3 times) a little at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla and pour into well greased tube pan. Cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees or until well done.

LEMON GLAZE ICING:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. can milk (heat)
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tsp. lemon juice

Pour over cake while cake is still warm.
