WHITE FRUIT CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. baking powder
1 qt. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. white raisins
1/2 c. candied pineapple
1/2 c. cherries

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour and water alternately. Flour fruits and nuts, sift off excess flour. Add to cake mixture. Bake at 275 degrees about 2 hours or 2 1/2 hours. Line pans with brown paper and grease. Decorate with cherries and pineapple. Makes 2 cakes.
