BREAD PUDDING 
1 stale French bread, hard
1 qt. milk
1 lg. can evaporated milk
3-5 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
2 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
1 can fruit cocktail, drained

PUDDING HARD SAUCE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 tbsp. boiling water
Rum or whiskey

Cut bread in cubes; place in bowl. Add milk, cream mixture and let soak. Beat eggs and sugar; add vanilla and raisins. Combine with bread mixture and pour into a large pan. Melt butter and pour this over the top and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until set.

Cream powdered sugar with butter and water until smooth. Add rum or whiskey to flavor. When ready to serve, spoon hard sauce over pudding.
