HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
Vanilla
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour

Beat eggs and sugar until creamy. Stir in flour and baking powder, that has been sifted together. Add milk which has been heated with butter until butter is melted. Add vanilla and bake in 2 (9 inch) greased and floured cake pans for 35 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven. Excellent frosted with coconut icing or served just plain with strawberries and whipped cream.
