CHEESE CHOWDER 
1 med. onion
3 carrots
2 celery stalks
1 (9 oz.) box frozen chopped broccoli
1 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 (13 oz.) can chicken broth
1 lb. shredded cheddar cheese

Chop vegetables in small pieces and cook until tender in the water. While vegetables and are cooking melt butter and add flour. Cream. Gradually add milk and stir until slightly thick. Add chicken broth and cooked vegetables. Stir in cheese and heat until melted.
