PUMPKIN NUT BREAD 
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. plus 4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. pumpkin

Grease one large bread pan---preheat oven 350 degrees.

Cream shortening, eggs and sugar together well. Add pumpkin and water and mix well. Mix together first the dry ingredients and then add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins. Bake 1 hour. Serve with sugared (powdered) cream cheese spread.
