COOKIE DOUGH:

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. pumpkin
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening, sugar, and egg. Add pumpkin. Sift dry ingredients together, then add. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees, about 10-12 minutes. Cool and ice.

ICING:

3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 tsp. milk
1 c. powdered sugar
3 tsp. vanilla

Cook the butter, brown sugar and milk to boiling point. Cool, then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
