PUMPKIN COOKIES WITH ICING 
COOKIES:

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. pumpkin
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins, cooked & drained

Cream shortening, sugar and pumpkin. Add egg, sifted flour and remaining dry ingredients. Then add raisins. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

ICING:

3 tsp. butter
4 tsp. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar

Cook until dissolved. Then add 1 cup powdered sugar (more if needed) and vanilla. Spread while cookies are warm.
