SURPRISE APPLES | |
4 sm. red apples 1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces or 2 sq. (1 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate 1 tbsp. chunky peanut butter 2 tbsp. honey With an apple corer or small sharp knife, cut the core of each apple, enlarging the opening to about 3/4 inch as you do so. Be careful not to cut through the bottom of the apple. Place chocolate and peanut butter in a small saucepan and melt chocolate over a very low heat. Remove from heat and stir until smooth. Blend in honey until well combined. Immediately spoon chocolate mixture into apples, being careful to cover all exposed apple flesh. Cover tops with foil. Place apples in refrigerator until chocolate is firm. |
