“MONKEY BREAD” IS IN:

MONKEY BREAD
3 packages of buttermilk biscuit tubes
1 cup sugar (divided)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

Take 3 packages of buttermilk biscuit tubes (10 per roll) and cut each roll into 4 pieces. Drop roll pieces into 1 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Drop sugar-coated pieces into a well buttered Bundt pan (don't squish roll pieces when placing them in the Bundt pan).

Put 1/2 cup of the left-over sugar/cinnamon mix and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and 1 cup of butter (2 sticks) into a small saucepan.

Bring this mixture just to a boil; remove from heat immediately. Carefully drizzle over the roll pieces.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Cool slightly in an upright position, then tip pan over onto a plate to remove monkey pull-apart bread.

Hi Sara, I am glad to see you cooking at an early age. You say you are a horrible cook. Here is what I say "If you can Read and Follow Directions - you can be a great cook." That's all it takes. And at some point, take some lessons. I went to several 'fancy' gourmet classes which were not only fun and informative, but we got to eat all the beautiful, wonderful foods we made, too. When I was 9 years old I decided to bake a cake. I did not understand "fractions". The recipe called for 3/4 tsp of salt - so I ADDED 3 + 4 = 7 -- and I put in 7 tsp of salt. Even the dog would not eat it. But we had a good laugh. Good luck to you and your adventures in cooking.

AWESOME! Buttery, cinnamony, sweet, gooey goodness! My family and friends request this at all our gatherings. Quick tip: I cut the bisquits with a pizza cutter, and drop a handful in a ziploc with the sugar/cinnamon mixture, zip it closed, and shake. Then I reach in, scoop out the pieces to drop in the pan. Works well!

I've added dried cherries, nuts, raisins, etc. Almost anything you want. I sprinkle some in the bottom of the pan and the sprinkle in with the biscuit pieces as I go along.

I use the biscuits and add (in layers) pizza cheese, green pepper, pepperoni, onions, butter and any other topping you can think of that goes on pizza. Then bake it the same way. Turn it out of the pan and waalaa, you have pizza monkey bread. yummoo

I have made this recipe for years, only difference is I make a glaze of powdered sugar and milk up to drizzle over it after it comes out of the pan.

This recipe was great! I replaced the brown sugar with molasses (2 teaspoons). Worked well and added a tsp. of vanilla for flavor. Came out excellent.
