CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES
(NO-BAKE)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 (10 oz.) bag miniature marshmallows
2 cups peanut butter (chunky works best!)
8 oz. cereal (Cocoa Puffs, peanut butter Cap'n Crunch or Cocoa Krispies)

Coat 9x13-inch pan with remaining butter from the empty stick (wax wrapper). Put butter on medium heat and begin to melt in 4-quart or larger saucepan. Reduce heat and slowly add the bag of marshmallows, stirring constantly. When no more individual marshmallows are visible, add the peanut butter. Keep stirring constantly. Mixture will be a caramel color when it is ready.

Stir in (your choice) cereal until well blended. Scrape mixture into pan. Spread evenly. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until firm. When cool cut into squares.

Variation: Frost top with chocolate or peanut butter frosting.
