HOLIDAY BREAD 
1 lg. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 jar of 8 oz. cherries, chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream softened cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time; mixing well after each addition. Gradually add 2 cups flour sifted with baking powder. Combine remaining flour with cherries and nuts. Fold into batter.

Grease pan and sprinkle with 1/2 cup finely ground nuts. Pour in batter and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. May glaze with 1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk.
