CRANBERRY HOLIDAY BREAD 
1 c. chopped cranberries
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, well beaten

Grease and flour 2 small or 2 regular pan. Prepare cranberries or orange peel; se aside. Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice and egg to moisten. Fold in cranberries, orange peel and nuts. Bake in small pans 40 minutes or regular pan 60 minutes. Test with toothpick.
