WIENERS OR HAM CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. wieners or ham 1 c. diced celery 1/4 c. butter 2 1/2 c. milk 1/2 lb. (2 c.) grated cheese 2 tbsp. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped onion 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 1 pkg. elbow macaroni (cooked) Cut wieners diagonally into 1 inch pieces. Saute celery and onions in butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Stir constantly until thick. Remove from heat and add mustard and 1 1/3 cups cheese. Combine sauce, cooked macaroni and all but 1 cup wieners. Put in 2 quart casserole (shallow). Garnish top with wiener slices and sprinkle cheese on top. Heat in 350 degree oven until bubbly. |
