1 box cake mix (either yellow or white)
cinnamon (to taste)
nutmeg (to taste)
4 or 5 large apples

Mix box cake mix according to directions on package. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. If you really like cinnamon, add a lot. Batter will turn light brown. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch well greased cake pan (I spray mine with Pam). Peel and cut into chunks at least 4 large apples. Insert them into cake by just laying them on top. I put lots and lots of apples into the cake. Then with a knife I push them down so that the batter comes up above them. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon and nutmeg on top of the cake and bake according to directions on the cake mix box. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
