PICKLING SYRUP FOR FRUITS 
3 qt. white or brown sugar
2 qt. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. allspice
1/4 lb. stick cinnamon

Place spices in a bag and cook with sugar and vinegar until syrup thickens. This syrup may be used for pickling fruits. Do not use on cucumbers as is till cause them to shrivel.
